Joystick Show App Reviews

22 Customer Reviews:

Nice little app that helps the user recall the numbers of the buttons. This can be helpful when creating profiles for games and you want to assign a button to a function but you cant remember the number and at the same time test if the buttons, axes, and hats are working. I tried it on my Saitek X-52 Pro and it recognized the joystick and all its functions. My wish: I would like to see an update for this app with a TEST button that you click and it colors everything red and when you press or move something on the joystick it will color the corresponding number in green so you know that the button you pressed is working. Anything that remains in red would mean either it has not been pressed yet or is not functioning properly. This way, you can report which part is malfunctioning in the joystick to the manufacturer or dealer.

Woked instantly

This worked right away for my older Logitech "Dual Action" (dual analog ps3 style) usb controller. Mac 10.7.5

DS3 works but DS4 doesnt

Clean little app. Recognizes Dualshock 3 but not the Dualshock 4 yet. Controller list could automatically refresh when Bluetooth controller connects.

Don’t buy!

There’s no need for this app! It’s just a tester, get Joystick Mapper instead! or even better, get Enjoy2 which is free!

Installed, plugged in a Logitech Extreme3D Pro, and SURPRISE, this program does not respond to the joystick movements or inputs. Dont waste your money on this one, kids.

I was able to test some old Intellivision controllers (via a USB adapter) with this app and it confirmed some suspected problems. So this app was a good investment for me.

Good way to figure out which button is which

I found this app really helpful for mapping buttons to keyboard keys and adjusting trim on a drifting controller.

WORKED PERFECTLY FOR ME

Used to Test CH Yoke (10-button) and CH Pro Pedals. Results were accurate, and visual layout was intuitive.

My DualShock II controller wasnt working properly with the USB adapter -- using this program allowed me to troubleshoot what was wrong, instead of spending hours searching ten-year-old forum posts. It works with all my USB HID-compliant gamepads, and is *so* worth the cheap price.

I dont understand the one star comments. Probably they dont have a clue. This app works as expected. I have tested it with different joysticks from different manufacturer and it works fine.

This shows all the buttons your joystick or gamepad responds to and the axis positions. The screenshot shows the red axis position markers in the numbered boxes, but on OS X 10.9 they show up offset above the boxes. Minor annoyance.

This app has so much potential but without solid, timely support it is nothing but an exericise in frustration. I posted questions on the support web site two days ago and still no response. Unacceptable.

Fantastic, easy-to-use diagnostic tool for Logitech Dual Action. Shows pressure sensitivity of joysticks and even tells me what buttons 0-11 correspond to. For example, buttons labeled A-B-X-Y on the controller do not correspond with the Macs interpretation of their function, so it was great to have a guide for that. $1 well spent!!

I thought there was no way this thing would be able to pick up the Saitek Cessna Yoke, Rudder pedals w/Toe Breaks or TPM module. Turns out it does and it works flawlessly! It helped me troubleshoot a friends rudder yaw control and he exchanged the pedals with confidence it wasn’t just a software issue. $0.99 is a steal.
